L.A The sequel

The second time around, we wanted to show Alex Hollywood, but then escape quite quickly to see more of L.A which wouldn't be so..... dirty.

We spent the two nights we were there staying with a family friend, Kate.

It was her birthday the night we arrived, so we all went out together and had food and drinks. Kate's husband is no.2 in the world of air guitar and now travels the country hosting and judging competitions.... I s*** you not.

We spent the day at Venice beach which was awesome to see after our mild Californication obsession.

Roller blades, plastic boobs, sweat bands and ghetto blasters. Proper L.A style.

Low rider cars and the smell of drugs in the air. It all felt quite gangster but totally friendly....

Unbelievably, the time had come to say goodbye to Rob and Alex already! But not before one final night on the town, Kate and her Husband took us to a Japanese mall. We ate sushi then headed down to the arcade. Kate beat rob at EVERYTHING! We played air hockey, and watched chubby old asian men concentrate way to hard on dance games.. Very amusing!

Alex was heading home at 6am ish, we were heading to New York just after, and Rob was heading home, via about 80 countries (cheapest ticket he could find) that afternoon.

Rob slept in, as the 3 of us headed to the airport. Through the open roads of early morning L.A, with no GPS and not enough fuel, we blagged our way back to drop off Ginge, and all made it in time for our flights.

We are so grateful that the boys came out to meet us. We had such a great time together and made some memories which will last forever. We look forward to doing it again.

We also look forward to Rob getting an email in 9 months time asking for child support payments....

Next stop for the boys - Edinburgh.

Next stop for us two travellers - New York City!!!!
