A lovely slow day exploring some of the sights of Auckland. After a slow start we took a morning Cruise around Waitemata Harbour. The waterways around Auckland are amazing, huge & wide, obviously the lifeline of this area with it's huge wharves and container ships. We then walked around the trendy yachting area checking out the upmarket apartment accommodation and million dollar yachts. We found the fish markets where we checked out & tasted some lovely fruits of the sea followed by a wine adventure at nearby Big Picture Wines. Late this afternoon we went to the top of Auckland's Sky Tower where we had wine/dinner in the revolving restaurant there. It is the highest tower in the Southern Hemisphere! Amazing 360% views of the city & it's waterways. Diner was delicious & the sunset/ night time scenery spectacular. Tomorrow pick up a car & we head south probably to Rotorua all going well.
