Well here we are on our next little adventure on the North Island of New Zealand! We left home on Saturday afternoon & headed to Coolangatta where we met up with Darren & Karen Fonti, a couple we met on our Italy trip last year who were from the Hunter Valley. Was lovely to see them & reminisce about out jaunt around Italy & the fun we had. We also got to meet Chris their son and his fiancé Paige who were a lovely young couple. Yesterday we headed to Brisbane where we realized that we'd left our passports in a folder on the dressing table back in our room at Cooly, so back we headed & grabbed them before getting back to Brisbane on dark. A quiet evening before An early start this morning, off to the airport at 6.30 & on our flight & off to Auckland by 8.30. A good flight (memories of our long haul with Emirates last year) getting into Auckland City by 3.00pm. We've had a nice wander with a few drink stops this afternoon around the city centre & wharf area before having a delicious dinner at a lovely restaurant down on the wharf.Tomorrow we head off for an explore after a good night's sleep.
