Helloooo!

This entry will certainly not be as long as the previous one...we promise!! But seeing as we won't be able to be on the internet for a while, we figured we'd do another now before Tassie!

So we went up to the Yarra Valley.... just incredible. Wednesday we went to Healesville Sanctuary which is probably the best animal type place we've been to! Maybe that's due to the amount of typically Aussie animals which we find stupidly fascinating! It wasn't busy at all, apart from a couple of little school trips that were so cute...I never thought I'd say that! It was extremely chilled out, both the animals and the people! We walked through the animals and birds actual enclosure which meant they came up to us for a bit of an investigate, this was fantastic...Wallabies, Kangaroos, Koalas and Pelicans(a tad scared on that one!). The list could go on! Just have a little look at our photos...that'll explain it!

We then headed to our campsite that was lovely actually and it was so close to the sanctuary that some of the amazing birds were wandering around. The next morning, after a not so freezing night's sleep, the family next to us were leaving. So they gave us heaps of treats "that they would have thrown in the bin otherwise", including sparklers and a Goon Bag (English translation...a box of cheap Red Wine 4 litres to be precise!!).

Alex came up to meet us, then we went off to the Yarra Valley Wineries! We headed to Killara Estate which was stunning and had a tasting...that I highly recommend! The guy was so friendly and each tasting, he filled our glsses like a normal glass, I'll let you do the math as to how I was afterwards!! We then had an amazing lunch with yet more wine overlooking the vines, a perfect afternoon.

Then the barbie...we bought some awesome snags (sausages) and ate away. Later joined by a Possum who decided, because I was the one that was most scared and concerned that we didn't feed him because he was wild, to jump right onto my lap and consume some of our leftovers!! Nice!! A rather late night and slightly drunken Husband later (The boys had 'smashed' the 4 l Goon Bag!!!) we woke up to yet another beautiful day...

After taking the tent down etc, we headed to Chandon Winery (Moet and Chandon!!!), which was pristine and crazily posh...had yet another tasting...not so much today though! Bought a bottle of Sparkling Shiraz for Christmas Day and headed back to the city. Grabbed a Nando's yum yum... then went for an afternoon of Lawn Bowls with an Esky (Cool Box) full of beers! It was a pretty impressive day again...they just keep being like this...it's a hard life! We had an amazing family meal last night and then this morning went to Prahran Market with Melbourne Mummy extrodinaire...another amazing experience.

Off to Tassie this evening...waiting for Liv's regatta results and uploading some more pics this arvo. We will miss our Melbourne Family a bucket load, they have all been incredible to us and we're so lucky to have been here with them!
