Hello All...

We're in Melbourne!! Arrived from Singapore yesterday morning after I slept for the entire flight and Tim didn't sleep for any of it! Apparently it was because he can't sleep on planes but the selection of films was rather impressive and I have come to the conclusion...he's lying!

Singapore was a really beautiful city although it was literally just shopping..I know many of you may think this is my dream BUT we're on a budget! What a nightmare?! So we will be coming back in a few years with a tad more cash in the pocket! There are shopping malls everywhere of about 6 floors, just heaving with people and open until 11pm on a Sunday..! The food was exceptional...popped to a restaurant in one fo the nicer malls and found out it was voted by the New York Times as one of the top ten in the world..not bad for 15 GBP (the aussies don't have a pund sign on thier keyboards incidentally!) So after heaps of walking and quite depressinf window shopping we headed to the airport a bit early to take advantage of some free stuff...!

Singapore airport is immense, it has a pool, Koi Carp ponds, a sunflower garden and free internet...amongst Chloe, Tiffany and Prada! Wow! Managed to make a collect call back to Mum and Dad for a Birthday wish which ended up being a lovely long conversation. And they paid...still!

Flight was all on time which was awesome considering loads of others were severly delayed! Landed in melbourne at 8.30 (9 hours ahead of UK now btw!) and mum and Dad's friend Barb was there to fetch us which was so nice...a cuddle went down a treat!

Then we mnove onto our Melbourne experience which has been amazing so far, it's so nice being in a family environment. Last night we had the most wonderful dinner with amazing wines..(Barb is an amazing cook and Chris knows a thing or 2 about vino!..Heaven!!) and the whole family. It was a wonderful evening and we both feel so at home here. Alex and Sophia then took us Possum hunting in the garden torch, dogs and all...and they are so cute.I was laughed at for getting excited about seeing my first possum but hey I'm a Pommie surely I'm allowed to?!!

Off out for lunch in the city now...maybe a glass of wine or 2!

BTW..Olivia has a pet mouse and she's named it Boris...how cool is that?!
