Today was a chilled out day. We had a day at the beach which was nice. In the evening we got ready and went for a look around the shops as we wanted to get some matching tops to wear out for the night. I also needed to get some more antihistamine cream as that had gone missing and some tablets as my bites were getting bad. On our way around the shops the lights on the whole island went out. Me and Amelia jumped and when they turned on a local told us it happens all the time! We found some matching tops with phrase we'd seen everywhere 'same same' on the front and 'but different' on the back. We're not definite what the story is behind the saying but we were told the meaning was about lady boys, by our cooking teacher in Chiang Mai. We went back to our accommodation to change into our tops and headed back out. We went to a different bar first tonight and then to the beach. The beach was packed again and we met some new people and saw some people we had already met. Once the music on the beach had finished we went to a quiet bar which was still open on the way home and had a drink with some people we had met. At about half three we headed back to our hotel and I got to speak to Amy on Skype before I went to bed which was great as we hadn't caught up since I'd gone away.
