Today me and Amelia went to a trip to Mya Bay (where 'The Beach' was filmed) we were also going to visit other islands and do some snorkelling on the way. We waited at the shop where we where told to meet and instead of our usual mini bus picking us up a girl on bike came and we followed her by foot to pick other people up and get to our boat. The boat was a basic long wooden boat and once we collected our snorkelling gear we struggled to climb onto it. First we went to Monkey Bay, we thought we were going to get to go onto the Bay but instead the boat (cheekily) parked up next top tree where he fed the monkeys and we could get into the water and see them up close. We then went off to another area in the sea where we snorkeled. Snorkeleling was great and we saw lots of pretty fish. The current was strong today and on the way to the next bay the boat was very bumpy and we all got soaked. The bay was nice and we had some fried rich for lunch there. When we were on the beach after being in the sea my camera stopped working (I wasn't having much luck with things breaking) which was annoying, it's a waterproof camera but so i don't really know why it stopped working. Anyway I tried to forget about that and enjoy the rest of the day, at least Amelia has her camera. We did some more snorkelling in a different area and then headed for Mya Bay which was pretty far and it was pretty bumpy ride in our wooden boat. The boat couldn't dock at the actual bay (maybe because it was choppy) so we had to climb through caves and use ropes to climb up, it was quiet hard with flip flops on and of course I slipped over! The walk was defiantly worth it when we saw Mya Bay. It was so beautiful. The sand was lovely and the sea was so clear and shallow, you could walk far into it and sit in it. We seem to come at a good time of the day too, as we had heard it gets very busy with tourists but when we got there it was pretty quiet. It was so gorgeous there and we just relaxed until we had to go back in the boat. The trip back was quiet far but we did catch the sunset on the way which was lovely. When we got back to the pier at Phi Phi the boat couldn't dock at the front of the water so we had to jump off and walk through the water to the pier. The sand was sooo squishy and gooey me and Amelia gripped onto each other and screeched the whole walk to the shore. Even though we had had seen such beautiful places we did feel a little stressed after our trip. Once we'd got back, showered and caught up on the internet we went for dinner and went back to the Irish bar from the night before. We were pretty tired after our trip so once the Irish bar started closing we went back to our guest house and to bed.
