Woke up fairly early to start my diving course properly, we headed down to the classroom to do some written work until lunch. After lunch we headed out into the water, firstly we had to demonstrate we could swim, 2 laps around the boat, simple. Then we got all our equipment on, which is really heavy and into the water we went. Ben didn't make it this far, he'd had a bad night feeling rough and being out on a boat didn't help his situation, game over Mr. Thurst...

We check in at Carabao Dive Resort, extremely tired from all the travelling. It's a nice resort with beautiful views, however the downfall is we don't have air conditioning in our room! They want £60 for us to upgrade, little bit pissed off because we thought we had paid for that already. s*** happens... I woke up on the night train not long after 7am as we needed to pack away the beds before the train arrived in Bangkok. We had been on the train for 15 hours now and we learned that our train was delayed by 3 hours, so our total journey was now 18 hours! The longest time I've ever spent on one mode of transport. Our last day in Chiang Mai, checked out at 12 but had to wait around for 4 hours to get our transfer to the train station so just chilled out in the lounge area. Hangover day! Didn't do much at all today apart from chill out by the pool, drink plenty of water, had a banana shake, that was delicious and eat loads. Went to the Chiang Mai Saloon again for dinner, said our goodbye's the the group as everyone is going their separate ways, that's travelling!
