Today started off with a good cup of coffee from Tim Hortons. Began my journey around 7:00am. traveling along I-70. I decided to stop near Wheeling, WV and take route 88 to the palace of Gold. Didn’t know much about it, soon realized that it is a Palace a jewel for those who follow Hare Krishna. Please google this. It was quite interesting . I was able to take a few photos other than that, nothing else. It was quiet but there were followers around doing rituals . And lots of peacocks roaming on the property. After I left there I made my way into Ohio . speed on the interstate was 70mph. So It didn’t take me long to get to the Hocking Hills Natural area. I visited Cantwell cliffs, Rock House and Old mans cave. Very awesome area, lots of rock cliffs and standing walls of solid rock as well as the gorge that runs along the creek. Very cool. Highly recommend this place. Hiked about 3 miles today, wow am I out of shape. Hopefully I’ll get into shape on this journey and loose some weight. I checked into the campground around 5:00pm. Got my tent set up, did some map reading . After that i was pretty hungry didn’t feel like cooking I decided to drive 12 miles into town and I found a great bar/restaurant called The Hungry Buffalo had a few beverages a Bison Burger and fresh pork grinds. So good. Was there until after dark and then got back to campsite and started a fire . Sat and just watched the flames dance.
Was a good day. Sunny and very warm high was about 89 degrees. Don’t want to complain. Because cold weather is upon me the further west I go.
