The collectivo was only 1 hour from Tulum and once dropped of wewalked around for a bit trying to find a cheap hotel. Tulum is a small town set on the highway and an area along the coast where there are some ruins on the beach. We stayed at a hostel on the highway which was ok. On the first day we decided to go in to town and look in to diving. We went in to a few dive shops and asked about sea diving but they all recommended diving the cenotes as they were unique to that area. We caught a 5am bus from Flores Guatemala to Belize City across the border. Belize City was not very nice and it's very dangerous so we didn’t leave the ferry terminal where the bus dropped us off. We then caught a ferry to Caye Caulker 30mins away.
