We woke to a very windy morning and headed off to Morgan to meet up with a life member of the WWVVMC, Noel Howarth
We were treated to a lovely morning tea with Marie and Noel, then headed off to cross the Murray on the ferry. White (brown) caps on the Murray as we crossed to travel to Waikerie and on to Renmark for lunch.
Some went on to Red Cliffs to check out Big Lizzie, a huge man made machine with a 60HP 1cylinder Blackstone engine. It has a max speed of 2mph going forward and 1/2mph in reverse. Weighs 45 tons. It could carry 80 tons
Very interesting story.
