What a beautiful day. Heading out of Peterborough to Jamestown through beautiful countryside. Jamestown is the birthplace of Reginald Murray Williams. Nothing open in Jamestown so off to Spalding where we had an interesting visit to the Barbed Wire Pub. Clare is a pretty town where we had morning tea / lunch before heading off to Burra. Plenty of sunshine!!

The highlight of the trip was the scientific investigation into Magnetic Hill. Do the cars really roll up hill? Definitely not!! After a drive UP Horrocks Pass and lunch in Orroroo we all met up for the challenge of the magnet. A nice relaxing afternoon around Peterborough and everyone doing their own thing for dinner. Hopefully the rain will hold off and we can see Burra in sunshine tomorrow.

Headed out from Woomera for a "downhill" drive to Port Augusta. Didn't get far when we came across Ian with another split rim. He had a good audience while he did all the work and put on the spare. We all headed off again and arrived, only to find that Ian had split yet another rim ( lucky he had two spare) He spent an hour or so at a member from the local car clubs to get them both welded up and ready to go. The wind is getting stronger!! Fuel economy is not crash hot and some of us needed a top up on the way. The chev with the side curtains had to hang on tight and provided some entertainment to those following behind. Ohhhh the wind!! And the flies Some of us walked up to the Eldo pub - what a surprise that was.

It is much windier back in Coober Pedy than when we here last. Pete was looking forward to a nice drop of scotch only to find Rob had dropped the bag with the clean undies which was supposed to be protecting the bottle and had washed the undies in Scotch. First stop in Coober Pedy was the Laundromat. Almost everyone is at the Underground Motel except Stu and Di who are caravanning. Another nice quiet afternoon.
