The second day in Quebec we checked out the ciitudelle home of the 22nd Royal regiment and still an active military base now. We took an hour tour around the grounds which was really interesting finding out about the British influence here. We got to see the cannon fire a blank shot at 12 midday. The views from the citadelle were beautiful over looking the river. Quebec actually means 'where the river narrows'

That afternoon the rain came down, we managed to do a bit of shopping and took a stroll along the boardwalk to the plains of Abraham but unfortunately it was shut!

For dinner we found another beautiful French restaurant. There's so many to choose from you are spoilt for choice. I had beef and kirsty had duck. Soooo yummy.

Tomorrow we catch the 3hr train to Montreal!!
