Banff National park.
Day 1
We got up leisurely, had breakfast and went to collect our car. It was a black Chevrolet Sonic. Perfect little 5 door car.
The drive from Calgary to lake Louise was amazing the roads were practically empty the scenery was beautiful and the car was a delight to drive! It was just one road all the way there. We got there in about 2.5hrs, stopping for a food break half way! We had a bit of trouble finding our hotel at first as there are so many in the same area hidden away in the woods and we thought we had hit the jackpot with this amazing hotel overlooking the lake but turns out it wasn't ours haha.
We finally found lake Louise inn and it is very nice too. It has 3 restaurants, a pool and lots of garden space. We got a room in the 4th block on the second floor our window looks out onto trees, mountains and open space!
That afternoon we unpacked, walked into lake Louise town (5mins away) and had a look around. It doesn't consist of much but is very pretty. Just an information centre, a few souvenir shops, cafe and just for kirsty an ice cream and candy shop
