Had three sun soaked days in a nice riverside town,maroochydore. The hostel is very cool relaxed and tropical.Having few days of relaxing by pool before our kayaking adventure monday. People and staff really friendly here, having a massive bbq tonight washed down with some super chilled wine!

Spent a fun day at wet n wild world on the gold coast monday,was expensive so made the most of the day running round doing all the rides and slides multiple times!!!very hot! Arrived in brisbane yesterday. Due to trying to cut costs, staying in a non-YHA hostel. Turned out to be nice hostel with a roof top bar and swimming pool with great views over the city. So far been very warm here, spent tues exploring the place, found a bunch of free museums and art galler...

Had few beers last night in the aussie tavern and watched a heavy rock band with some bikers and rednecks!! Proper authentic night!! Today moved onto queensland, another state another time zone! Looks like loads to do in surfers paradise, hopefully going to wet and wild world tomorrow, should be good fun in the sun!!

From Yamba we stayed a few days in Byron bay. was a lovely town which we done a walk to the most easterly point of Australia. We also done a day trip to a great little hippy village called Nimbin! interesting place. The trip also included a visit to a waterfall and a free bbq. Been staying in the lovely beach town of yamba. everyone surfs here, we did think about having lessons ha ha but didn't think we would be any good at it! Yesterday we survived Shane's tour!!
