From Yamba we stayed a few days in Byron bay. was a lovely town which we done a walk to the most easterly point of Australia. We also done a day trip to a great little hippy village called Nimbin! interesting place. The trip also included a visit to a waterfall and a free bbq. The waterfall was very nice but has been raining so to get there we had to walk thought ALOT of mud! We originally booked the day trip for the monday, but the bus never picked us up! so we complained and they offered us a full refund and also said we could go on the tuesday free of charge! so in the end all worked out for the best!
Walking around byron bay we stopped off a Indie travel where we ended up booking a trip to fraser island and a three day everglade canoeing trip. the fraser island is a three day camping trip on the largest sand island in the world and we get to drive 4 by 4s! we are very excited about this!
we are now staying in a town slightly inland called murwillumbah! yesterday we took advantage of the offer our hostel has of free canoe rental and we went canoeing up the river. good fun.
our next stop on the 24th we head to the gold coast and surfers paradise.
