After a good nights sleep we are back on the road again, another early start and another reminder why staying in a house is beautiful.
The advantage of being on the Magic bus compared to local buses are the number of senic stops you make. They don't just stop for toilet or food breaks, but this time we are stopping for a short walk into the forest along a little stream. The strange thing about this little walk is that playing in the little pools and small waterfalls are the baby seals. They are so use to seeing tourist they aren't phased when you sit on the rocks and just continue to play with each other as you snap away.
We stop for a few more photo points before we arrive at the ferry port. Although we aren't heading back to the North many are and we have to collect the others heading South, but true to Allan style we are running behind schedule.
We arrive at Nelson and the sunny has begun to shine, this area is known as sunshine city so fingers crossed for nice weather we have to stay two nights here due to bus timetabling.
Most people from here head to Able Tasmin a lovely beach national park, however we are saving pennies for our other big trips so we decline the walk.
We arrive at our hostel Paradismo and were pleasantly suprised, they gave everyone free noodles, they offered free 24hr Internet and best of all a free breakfast!!! A little reminder of the hostel in SA if a little more expensive.
In the morning happy that we didn't need to set any alarms or pack bags for another bus journey, we head for some brekkie. Deciding to have a cheap day we made up a pack lunch and used the cheap shuttle bus to head to Nelson's beach.
It was no paradise but It was sandy and the sun was trying to shine through shame about the wind. We were determind it was warm and put or bikinis on and sat and basked. It wasn't long before layers were back on and we had our lunch played some appaling hackysack and wrote messages in the sand.
With some time left but with the sun lowering we went to explore the shops which consisted of nothing so we played some cards in the park and some good deeds before the bus came to take us home.
I think the week activities in Christchurch finally caught up with me and I found myself in my PJ's and tucked up in bed by 9pm. I had been super organised and was already for the next day so I had a good 8 hours sleep and awoke fully recharged.
