hey mom, thanks, but that's not necessary, I can ask for the change if it gets to that point. It is interesting for sure, but not all that bad. The room is small, but I'm not in it very much. There is only one bathroom, but I don't need a lot of time there anyways. The mom is pretty moody, but I can handle that. There are three main reasons why I stay; my room mate, Mariana, is awesome, the food is really good(and healthy), and there is wifi(which would cost me about ten euros an hour at an internet cafe). Last night was the worst it has been, and now it has past, and like Mariana says-it is like we are doing a case study for psychology or something-it is actually pretty interesting, not always loads of fun, but definately interesting. Just look at it as an opportunity for personal growth...lots of personal growth:)
Thanks for caring, I care about you too! Love, Mikahla

Will the email link from this site work and get to you?
I am wondering about writing to EF and asking about another home for both you and your room mate. How long will she be in Paris at school.
Tonight I will work late, handprints to cut out, angels to put together, books to finish, ornaments with the kids pictures to make, etc.
I listen to my tapes and work.
I love you and am so glad you are truely there.
Love, Mom

Hey, I just searched Versailles and saw some awesome pictures. Wow, and you are there today or were there today. I really liked Marie Antionette's place. I am so excited for you. What was it like up close and how was the weather. I can't wait to hear from you. Mom and I had a great morning just relaxing, reading and talking about our Christmas plans. It is so weird not having you here. I was thinking of how it will be the first time going to shop for stocking stuffers without you. We will have to keep your stocking til summer and we'll have to guess at what you might want. Maybe you'd rather we waited til then and you could shop for yourself.
We are headed out to get goodies for Grandma; yogart, and costco food. Then we are having a luncheon with the Teen Challenge staff and board members, all the wives included. Tommorrow is the Relational Resources party. You'll have to treat yourself with a french fruit tart to celebrate the occassion. I'm so glad you have so many exciting things to do. You'll miss all this experience here, but what a great reason to miss it. Have a blast. Love, DAD

Hey papi, yeah, my myspace has been having some problems lately, but it was working this morning. I put up a new poem there - check it out, it;s in my blog. I am going to Versailles to day! It will be an adventure, i hear it's even bigger than the Louvre and has all kinds of nice big gardens! I'm very excited, I just hope the weather cooperates. It was a good week at school, but it rained a lot! Yesterday it was really windy too! I came straight home from school and spent the day researching linguistics stuff and planning my UCSC schedule. I can't really plan the real thing yet because that informationisn't up yet, but I looked at the required class lists and the lists for scheduled classes this year and saw how many I would be taking per quarter, how many quarters I would need, and which classes were prerequisits and so should be taken early on to open the door to the upper division classes. You know me, I like to plan, it was fun:) I have decided the minor in psych might be too much. It would be eight more classes! That would pretty much be another year. Maybe I'll just get the linguistics degree and then go back for a masters in psych.....hmmm...I don't know, but I don't really have to right this minute so it's ok. I found a really cool sight called multilingualchildren.org I love it! I also found the website to a begining linguistics class and I can actually access the information and read the chapters and stuff, it's been great fun. I have also been studying French:) Love you, miss you, Mikahla

I have been to the Moulin Rouge(I didn't go inside:), the cafe where Amelie was filmed(where she worked), and today I ate lunch under the Eiffel Tower(of which only half was visible due to fog). I was FREEZING! And now I am a little bit sick:( I took my Wellness pills and tonight I am going to bed early, but it would still be very nice if you would pray for me:) I had a good day, and a good night. I studied a lot today and learned a lot. I was actually able to hold a rudimentary conversation with the family tonight. I even made a joke, and guess what... they laughed- and not at me:) I really like the city, it is beautiful(though very cold) and I am looking forward to seeing more of it in the next few weeks. The only real problem is that it is a very expensive city! At least the house has wireless internet or I would have to pay for that too! The food at the house is also really good. The breakfast is filling and the dinners are healthy and yummy. That is a blessing from God! All of this is a blessing from God and I am very thankful! Thanks for the prayer, it means a lot to me:)
Love to all, Mikahla
P.S. guess what...I can walk to the Eiffel Tower from my house:)
