Hey mom! yay! You're coming to see me! This is all so exciting! Yes, I am feeling better, but not all the way well yet. I haven't been sleeping very much or very well lately so that's not helping:( You could pray for me on that. As for shoes - whatever is comfortable. It is probably warmer down in Italy than it is here in Paris, but it is still winterish so do be prepared for that. Don't worry about looking like a turist - you'll look like a turist no matter what you do:) But knowing you and dad, you two will be the cutest little smiling lost old turists ever to be seen in Tuscany! I have filled out the UCSC online form, but I haven't sent transcript requests to Cabrillo yet - I hope to fax them from the school Monday. I haven't gone to a dentist, but my teeth aren't hurting anymore - it was really just that week - my teeth have shifted a bit I think though and it really might have been wisdom tooth movement that was causing the pain. I'm still kind of half looking for an english speaking dentist here, but I have been pretty busy with school and friends and stuff. The school is going well, French is really coming along now! I am feeling pretty good about it now:) I have been trying to jam in a good amount of study time into this last few weeks to make sure I get as much as I can from this experience here, and since I'm not sure yet if this might be the last time I study French. There are still a good number of things I want to see and do here in my last three weeks so we'll see if I can jam it all in and study too and hang with friends! I have some fun friends here now:)
Love, ME
P.S. Glad to hear you're riding horses again, that always made you happy:) (me too - maybe I could pick up a half lease of some sort while I am at UCSC? Who knows, but that would be fun:)
Mom
Are you feeling better?
Dad has found a really great flight going into Paris and out of Rome. He is so excited.
He has checked on trains and cars.
He is really looking forward to this.
About shoes.
Should we wear white tennis shoes or something else. There will be a lot of walking I would imagine, so any ideas would be appreciated.
How is the weather?
Did you fill in the form for UCSC and send it off?
We are going to work on taxes and the fafsa before Dad leaves. The weekend before he leaves he is going to the Drags with Brandon. What a busy guy.
How is school going?
Love you so much!!
Oh, Roni & I had a great time at the retreat. Katie H. went and wants to have us all go together, girls and mothers. So many ideas and so little time.
Roni is signing up for a lot of classes, she is acting like you and trying to take a huge number. I have signed up for my one PHP class.
I have ridden the horse 3 Wed. in a row now. It is so fun, I am going on the trails. I am so tired when I get home I can hardly stand up. Just getting so old.
We are ordering Roni's computer tonight I think. This is the first night she has been home, and maybe she will go out tonight too. Busy having a good time on the Jan.break from school.
I'll keep you posted. Take care. How are your teeth? Your host family would probably have a great idea of where to go to get some work done. Do it before Dad comes so you can really have a fun trip and not be in pain, at least in your mouth.
Love again, MOM

nice try, but no:) I have a room mate - or at least i will as of Sunday. There is another room here, but a girl is coming hte first week of Febuary to stay there for a month - I will as for ideas from the family and maybe ask the school too - I'll let you know if I find anything.
Love, ME
Mom
Can Dad stay at your home and maybe in your room for a fee to your host family?
What is your address now, and what is the phone number there.
Love You and keep praying this is really hard for us to get all this together.
Love, Mom

three weeks would be great! After the big expense of the ticket, another week would be relatively small and worth it since it really is a once in a lifetime experience.
P.S. Have we found you somewhere to stay yet or are we just going to wing it? I haven't been getting internet lately and I got sick so I didn't go out at all yesterday and so have not done any research in a while, but I should get some done today:)
Dad
I'm thinking of three weeks instead of two. What do u think?????????
