Good morning!!!!!!!!!! I just noticed that it was 6 am there. The time on the message page was set at Barcelona time. I'm still not used to the numbers yet. I know it's nine hours before us, but haven't done enough daily time exchanges. Have a great day and God bless you. May He reveal to you how much He loves you. Even more than I do and that's a wholeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! lot. I can't wait to see what you post next. See ya, Dad

Love your new mac sight!!!!! The pictures are great and we really get to see you and what you're doing. I'm so excited for you. What an experience of a lifetime. When we go to Barcelona, you can be both our interpretor and tour guide. You think you'd ever want to teach at the school some day? Send some pictures of your host family, so we can see who they are. I really love your room and terace. It's like a little bed and breakfast getaway. Love you, Dad

Sounds like you had a good weekend! We went to the movies too, but in Spanish of course. It kind of stinks because I usually like to go to the movies to relax and just have fun, but when it's in Spanish it still kind of feels like I'm studying because I have to concentrate if I want to understand what they are saying. There aren't a lot of movies out here anyways. Pirates of the Caribean 2 is still in theatres.
Yeah, I got to go on the mini vacation with them. It was pretty cool. There is a little trailer camping park on La Costa Brava and we could walk to the beach from the trailer! I had a good time just relaxing and catching up a little on sleep. I got to hang out with the girls and their friends Saturday night. It was fun, they asked me all kinds of questions about America and about the English language and how to say all the cuss words - which I am not very good at myself, but I did my best to please them. I also ended up teaching them some yoga poses, self defense moves, and some little gymnastics tricks. They loved it! Supposedly we will return for at least one more weekend and they want me to teach them more, so I better learn some more first! I found out that all I need is a photograph and a little money to get a library card so I am going to do that this week and start racking up late fees in Spain too! Just kidding, I hope. The girls also now want to take kick boxing so the three of us are going to look for a class nearby that we can all take! Now that I have settled in pretty well I think I may join an actual gym so that I can use the equipment and also take classes all in one package. I am supposed to get a discount with a good gym that's nearby through the school so I will be looking into that too. Love you guys, miss you guys, Mikahla
Dad
Hey, I forgot Saturday. Mostly I spent all day in the yard and on my cell phone taking advantage of the free weekend minutes calling all my relatives and friends. They are asking about you, so I told them about the web sight. Sat. night Mom and I went to the movies, Borders and Tacqueria Viarta. We saw "Invinceable" a movie based on a true story about a Philly bartender that became a pro football player for the Eagles. It was one of those real "feel good" movies. We had a great date. Love ya, Dad

Hey girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatzzzzzzzzzzzzup! Hope you got to go on that mini vacation with your host family. Let me know how it was. We had a great visit with mormor on Friday. She had guests over who knew her in Venezuala when she taught there. They were really neat people. He was in Peru as a young man working with the peace core and she is a Peruvian. They dated for about two years then when it was time for him to finish his two year stay in Peru, he asked her to marry him. Then when they were in Peru he was with the WHO (World Health Organization-remember they were in the movie Sahara) and they had children in the School where mormor taught. Anyhow they are fun to get to know.
Sunday after church we went to the Mt. Hermon yard and got some goodies for the garden; like new bird feeding stands and an old antique trash can. We went back to play in the yard, feed the birds and squirels and then off to CostCo and then a visit with mormor. Afterwards we went for a long walk at the cement ship. It was a beautiful night and we got some good excercize and talk time. Well it's Monday and I have an appointment in a few minutes, so Tah, Tah for now, Love ya, Dad

Wow! I missed so much in a day! Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers! I love you all! I did get the cord and everything is working well! I am reading Harry Potter #1 in spanish right now and I actually understand it! I still have to use the dictionary every page, but I get most of it myself! I have been stopped in the street for directions twice in the last week and I have actually been able to help the people - in spanish! One of them didn't believe that I was American! (that made my day) I hope to get some pictures up soon and some more journals about all the wonderful things I have seen and done so far! I have it all down on paper I just have to put it up on the web for everyone to read! One thing, I saw finally went to see the Sagrada Familia. It is a very famouse cathedral by Gaudi. It was started in 1882 and is stil not finished, but when it is it will be a world wonder! It is amazing now and it's not even done! It is just one of those things, like the eiffel tower, that you hear about so often it looses its magic, but only in words not in essence, and when you see it with your own eyes all the magic is restored and you understand why it is spoken of so often. I felt the presence of God in that cathedral powerfully strong. It was beautiful.
I think I am going on a mini vacation with my host family this weekend so I might not be able to write more for a while, but I love you all and will be back soon.
Love, Mikahla

Mikahla! What an adventure you are on. I'm SO excited for you!!! (and jealous...but hopefully I'll be studying abroad soonish too) I know you're going to do very well there. You are very flexible and I know you're stoked on getting into the culture there...so you'll have a great time. Of course, I know it probably won't always be easy, but I know God has some awesome things for you there. I'll be praying for you. And we're going to have to swap stories about our adventures when you get back!!! Alright. I miss you. Love ya tons. Wish I was there. ;)
Love,
Heidi
Dad
It's me again!!!!!!!!!!! I sure hope the cord arrives soon, so we can communicate more often. I miss talking to you and hope we can talk via internet messages. The ocean baptism for teen challenge was really a blessing to watch. I've never seen that before. I couldn't help but think how Jesus baptized in the rivers and lakes. It was really neat to see all these guys support each other, especially seeing the older residents support the new guys. We are going over to Mormors for lunch today. She'll have guests for us to visit with. I think they were missionaries she knew in Venezuala. Well, gotta go, Tah, tah for now. I love you, Dad
Mom
Hey Camille,
I love to read your notes.
This would be a great way to keep up with every one at the same time.
Dearest Kahla,
Friday, 9/8/06, Dad and I are going to have lunch with MorMor. Then maybe off for a date.
I think I am almost ready for my class this next Monday. I had to make a form and I did. It is so fun. I thought I needed more info, well, infact I just needed to read the book I had from about 1 year ago. Imagine that all the information was in the book all along, I was just supposed to read it. Imagine that!!!
Dad has had a couple of good days without chest pains. I have been working on my back exercises and my back is a little better. Sitting at the computer in this chair is not good I'm thinking.
I didn't ride Delilah this week, but I washed and braided her tail.
Play School is really exciting, with such good planning and team work going on.
You are in our thoughts and prayers!!!!
Love, MOM
