The world is my school. Today my classroom was, finding the post office and staying in the apartment.
When I was eating breakfast we all had a big debate over what we were going to do today. I thought we should go to three more Markets, but Mom and Captain O thought we should go see the 10,000 Buddha's Monastery. We never really got to doing any of those though. Instead we stayed inside all day doing work. Though in the middle of the day Mom went to get a massage. I stayed back with O and Rosie, and did our work. I did my CTY then checked Rosie's math, then the cleaners came and I had a nice chat with her, she said that O's eyes were pretty and guessed how old we were, then I read Rosie's blog. By the time I cut her 3 apples, Mom was home again. We started rethinking going out but this time we actually did.
We found the post cards and went to send those off; we had no luck and only found 5000 letterboxes. Then we went to look for a mattress pad for Moms bed. With no luck we turn back around and this time found where to actually post the cards. Then we start heading back. On the way we run through a mall with a good restaurant that looks pretty good.
We sat down and right across from us were these big, scary, swirling, rainbow colored, gold rimmed, crazy things hanging from the roof! Then the waitress came with bread and asked us what we wanted. I got a Spaghetti Von Cangole. It is spaghetti with clams. When it came out, the clams had little flabs that were really chewy. We wondered if it was the difference between boy and a girl, but then we thought if there even were boy and girl clams.
Lesson 1
Can Clams be Boys or Girls?
It depends on what kind of clam it is, see, there is one type of clam that fertilizes their own eggs, and these are called, hermaphrodites.
There is another kind with different reproductive system. They rely on the other gender for egg fertilization.
Here is what http://www.ehow.com/how_8606815_tell-clam-boy-girl.html says:
On the outside, a clam may seem like a very simple creature. They have no eyes, noses or ears, and if you see one buried in the sand on a beach, you might think it just another seashell. Clams are actually rather complex little creatures, especially when it comes to their reproductive system. Some clams use an external reproductive system, relying on clams of another gender for egg fertilization, while others have an internal reproductive system. These creatures fertilize their own eggs and are called hermaphrodites. It is difficult to tell which gender a clam is without examining its reproductive tissues microscopically.
The clams were yummy but the flabs gave me the heebie jeebies.

Paige Annabella, I am sure Hong Kong is a very busy place. It must be confusing at times. I liked in one of your blogs when you talked about being tourist attractions to the people there. That made me laugh! I hope you are enjoying the time there. How exciting also that you have new fish! I am proud to hear you are helping Rosie with her school work. You are a great big sister. I love reading your blogs and they always brighten my day. The clams sound very yummy. I am sure it must take a very long time for a postcard to arrive from Hong Kong! My friend traveled to Zimbabwe in Africa and she sent me a postcard. It took 1 year to get to me! I miss you and can't wait to read more and see pictures of Hong Kong! Enjoy the time with your family. Love Paige
