The world is my school. Today my classroom was in Hong Kong catching up on math and going to the Markets.
I woke up really early this morning then went back to sleep, and when I woke up again I saw a giant fort on Rosie Meets World's bed/couch! I said right away, "Can I come in?" I went in then said, "Lets spy on Captain O when she comes out and see if she notices us!" When she came out she did notice us and said, "Stop video taping me! Stop it!" I started laughing then broke open the fort. Breakfast was Corn Flakes and Chinese milk.
We all had postcards from Hong Kong and New Zealand, so my next job was writing those out. I played for a while then did another session of my CTY Math. Each session takes an hour! Lunchtime then. After that, we finally started out for the Flower Market…again (we tried yesterday but never got there)!
This time we took the underground (MTR) and it was much easier and so cool because you know how would usually see a sign above the door that would say where you are in the underground. This one did too but it was lit up and flashing the green light is where you are now and the red light is where you are going! We actually ended up going to the Goldfish Market, then the Flower Market, then The Bird Market! Once we made it to the Fish Market, Rosie went crazy about getting a fish, and I went crazy about the crowd. There was serious traffic, a crazy crowd, and we were all mushed! All I could see were lights, people carrying flowers and fish, with occasional puppies, turtles, and gerbils. Well, she got a fish, but I didn't get any more space. We looked at about 5 shops til we got around 15 fish in a bag. We also got a little sunken ship toy for them to swim through, some Bio Sand, and a little cage/bowl. Mom said that it was better to get some from in a bag, because they wont need an oxygen blower bubble thing. There was one kind of fish that was neon on the fins and see through everywhere else. I wanted to get them because when we feed it we would've been able to see the food go through their body! That's a science lesson right there, but we couldn't because they needed one of those oxygen blower, bubble things. I was glad with the ones we got though. Fish are good luck during Chinese New Year so there you go.
When we got home Mom cleaned out the Bio Sand then that was the first to go in the cage. Next was the sunken ship and then the water. We also put the fish in but still in the bag so they could get used to the water temperature. After a while they got used to it and we burst open the bag. They took their time getting out, but eventually made it. I loved this type of fish because their tails. They have one big spot then two little ones and I thought it was awesome. Every now and then I start looking back at them and they make me a little bit sad, because we used to have a Hermit Crab called Poops-a-Lot. He had the same kind of cage, that's why.
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!"
