We're back at our home base. We had to come back to Perth to go to the Jack Johnson concert (which was mellow and great and everything we expected it to be) and to drop our friend Kathrin off at the airport. Max is in the shop today getting a 4000 point inspection which turned up the need for 4 new shocks (which we knew as it corners slightly worse than a grocery cart with a gimp wheel) and some new front brakes so we've blown our budget yet again, but we'll be happier & safer travellers for it.

What were the chances that on the one day that we'd be without our home on wheels and really needed a nice day to bike around and do other errands or go to the beach, it has poured buckets. Biblical type rain on and off all day today. We've been carting 2 crappy bikes around for such a situation and now we can't use them. In fact today is the first day that Baebs has put on shoes in 6 weeks. Insult was added to injury when we got soaked by a passing car at the bus stop, so we ended up waiting in the shelter standing on the bench to keep out of harms way. We've spent about 6 hours at "our mall" having coffee's, looking at stuff we don't want and don't have space for and doing some internetting.

Next up, we're heading back down south to do some WWOOFing (Willing Workers on Organic Farms). Hopefully meet some neat (and most likely unusual) people and learn some new things.
