Sydney Part one
Wednesday 26th November – Friday 28th November
We arrived at the campsite and booked in the staff included a parrot from India on a working holiday visa. We hired a movie and after some dinner chilled out in the van. The next day on Thursday 27th November we left the campsite and drove into Sydney took us about 45 minutes to find a parking space that would fit the van as most were underground. We left the van for a few hours and went for walk around the darling harbor had a trip to the Sydney aquarium buying a joint pass that included an admission to the new wildlife world which we would save for the New Year.
The aquarium was cool loads of weird and wonderful fishes, little penguins and crazy crustaceans. We spent a good few hours in there and afterwards we booked a ghost tour for the New Year also. Into the afternoon we stopped briefly at opera house and bridge for some pictures. We camped up near Narrabeen that night on the northern beaches of Sydney.
The first job of Friday 28th was to get the funny sounding tire fixed turns out the was a nut, 2 nails and a bolt in dunno what we had run over but hey, new tire on board and with the rain back good and proper we went north to the beach were they film home and away but the rain was too heavy for any pics still a nice beach though. So we headed back towards Sydney in an attempt to escape the rain, brief interruption was found as we checked out manly and north head which provided some amazing views of Sydney harbor. Shortly after leaving Sydney for the road north the skies grew greyer and greyer and the biggest storm for a while hit there was lightening flooded streets and sooooooooooooo much RAIN!!!
