Hi Everyone,
Another good nights sleep this time at Diane's house, another cumfy warm bed!!
The picture was taken yesterday when driving through the mountain area of Ben Nevis Glen Coe National Park, as you can see they were snow capped, looked pretty but very cold if you got out of the car.
Bill and I went for a walk before breakfast, it was cool but a blue sky and not windy, the ocean was calm. By the time we had showered and had breakfast it was raining again and the wind had wipped up the ocean into white capped waves and the rain was driving onto the big picture windows of Diane's sun room, must say it did look a wild dramatic scene looking out.
The squawl soon passed, we decided to drive to Elgin, which is 35 miles west of MacDuff, Diane was diving so that Bill could see the scenery for a change. On the way we drove through Portsoy and Cullen, both are very old small towns with many historic building, Portsoy has a 17th century working harbour which made me smile to think Australia was only just been discovered at this time!!
We stopped to look at the Johnson Cashmere Mills, beautiful clothing, but soooo expensive a lovely jumper was marked at 225 English Pounds.
We stopped at Christies of Fochabers for lunch, this is also a garden and giftware centre, and a lovely place to mooch around - food was good too. When we came out it was snowing, not the sort that actually sticks to the ground but enough to make us run to the car. Driving back to Diane's it snowed most of the way but as we neared MacDuff the blue sky appeared again, but it feels very cold to us anyway!
As evening came, looking out of Diane's sunroom at the ocean the sea was again calm and the white caps have disapeared, but the sky is cloudy again.
Chat again soon
