Things kicked off around 7am this morning with everyone looking as if they had had as much sleep as an insomniac at a rock gig. We headed to Nourlangie Rock for a 1 hour hike to look at various paintings on the rock walls that had been left by Aboriginis many moons ago.
We then headed to Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which was a further insight into the culture & beliefs of various local tribes. That afternoon we were booked on to a river cruise that would take us along the Yellow Water Billabongs, South Alligator River & various flood plains. We were on the lookout for various creatures during the journey, but mainly only saw birdlife. We had hoped to see a crocodile or two, but despite seeing some nests, we weren't very lucky on that front. We did manage to see a Tree Python hang from a tree & snatch a frog from the waters surface. We were kept entertained throughout the whole ride however, as there was an old man sat behind us, who clearly didn't want to be there, so he spent his time muttering under his breath classic phrases such as 'Bloody get on with it' & 'Who gives a rats arse'. That evening we drove back to Darwin to stay overnight in much comfier beds!
