So after a 8 and a half hour airplane ride, both of us were exhausted, ornary, and hungry, so what else would we do, but get on a train to Victoria Station, walk to Buckingham Palace, and attempt to catch the changing of the guard ceremony. Go figure, it looked like rain, so we were diappointed, along with the hundreds of other people that wanted to see it, since the guards don't do the ceremony unless the weather is perfect. So, instead we ate, walked, walked some more, found our hotel...
After a little effort, and more walking, we found our hotel- The Georgian House Hotel. We reserved the least-expensive room we could find in London, which is 30pounds per night, ($60 US). That's for a single room with a shared bathroom. Not only that, we are on the TOP floor, (9 flights of stairs) where there is no elevator! Our room is about 8 feet by 8 feet, with a single twin bed. The only window in the room has a great view of a Stucco wall, about a foot away, and it is enormously sized at about a foot tall by two feet long. No big deal, though, since we're both so tired we really couldn't care less. At least we'll have seriously strong legs by the time we head out of here!
