Cannes is definitely glamorous and EXPENSIVE. The french rivera is AMAZING, but getting here was... um... challenging. First, we missed the right train from Avignon, which in turn made us too late to catch a bus from the St. Raphael train station to St. Tropez. We blew through Avignon in an afternoon, and it was well worth the stop. We went and toured the Palais des Papes, the palace of the Popes. It was built in the 14th century, and survived 9 different popes. It was ANCIENT and HUGE!!! The dining room itself is the size of 2 of our entire 10-townhome complex!!!
