The drive to Okuma was almost 2 hours, but it was really cool to see everything along the way. I took most of the terrible photos, since Jeff was driving. The views were breathtaking all along the way. I would definitely equate it to a drive along the North Shore of Hawaii. Very slow go, but incredible beaches and scenery all along the way. There was everything from these little fishing villages, and high end beach resorts. There was even a baseball academy. We saw kids running around the permeter training. I didn't get a great shot of that. Jeff wanted to stop all along the way, but the drive would have taken us 10 hours if we would have let him.

The thing that was amazing is that there is still so much jungle throughout the island. One side is the beach, and the other side is this green jungle. It has rained every day, keeping everything green and lush. The mountains and hills are a little unexpected, and have small islands within many lagoons. I could definitely stay in Okinawa for longer and be very content.
