Hia all! Just a quick one to let you know we've arrived safe n sound in Kerala! Been travelling the whole day so nothing much to report - took us 5 hours to drive from Jaipur to Delhi (it was a sad fairwell to our new friend Mahabir/Mohammed/Mo... whatever his name was!), then a 4 hour flight down to Cochin (which is where we are now - Ernakulam), stopping at Mumbai on the way. After some breakfast (boiled eggs and toast, mmm!) Mahabir/Mohammed(!) dropped us off at Jaipur's City Palace and left us there to explore! Jaipur is really pretty - the whole city is painted pink! (hence the reason it's known as 'the pink city!). It's full of history about past kings, or Maharaj as they are known in India, so there are lots of forts and palaces. Yay, we're using our netbook to write this (at last!). Arrived in Jaipur at 2.30pm after another long (about 4 hours) but interesting drive. Checked into the Sumer Guest House which our driver (who's actually called Mahabir, not Mohammed!!!) recommended to us. It was away from the main Bazaars so was nice and quiet, and had a nice little garden to the front and our own little table and chairs outside our room door. We arrived in Ranthambore after a 4 hour drive from Bharatpur - we love the drives cuz you have to go through some real little Indian villages in the middle of nowhere, the roads are just dust tracks and it's amazing what you see, the kids always wave when we pass them, they're so cute! Today we traveled all the way from Delhi to Agra which is where the Taj Mahal is!! We got picked up from our crappy hotel after a rubbish nights sleep at 7am by our driver Mohammed!!
