From Vang Vieng we went to Vientienne (for what we thought would only be a day) to sort out our Vietnamese visa's and then head over the same day to Hanoi on a over night bus, but as most things happen on our travels nothing quite works out as we plan. Luang Prabang is a small Laos town situated on the Mekong with a huge French Influence which is apparant as soon as you step foot off the boat with the hundreds of fresh bageuttes sellers on the side of the roads. Ok so we havent got too much to tell you about this place other than its the place where we we are crossing the boarder from Thailand to Laos and catching the slow boat down the Mekong River to Luang Prabang.
