Early group breakfast, as this would be the last time that we would take over the entire breakfast balcony together. Sob, Sob..

Everyone apart from Rose and Jackie were leaving for home today and met downstairs with their suitcases waiting for the coach to arrive and take them back to the airport. In true Greek tradition, the coach was fashionably late.

The leaving party boarded the coach and as the coach pulled away Jackie and Rose felt so deflated but hey ho that didn't last too long. They were waved off by Rose and Jackie with the now infamous hand gestures that they had shared with the rest of the group: "f..k off, you're dumped, bye bye!!!

Rose and Jackie then returned to the hotel to collect their bags and off shopping they went with a little skip in their steps.

When the group arrived at the airport, cases were checked in and yet again food was needed before the flight was boarded.

Burgers were ordered at the airport but after waiting 40 minutes and still no sign of them a refund was requested. Diane had a big bowl of chips which she enjoyed. Bacon sandwiches were a second choice.

A steady flight back to England with texts back to the girls left in Athens to let them know that everyone had arrived home safely.

The response from Jackie and Rose was to take a selfie in the sunshine near a taverns, showing just how much everyone else was being missed.

As a gesture of goodwill and appreciation to not only the Hotel staff but also to Sensei Panos Agrios, Thank you cards and small gifts were bought and handed out from the White Rose Aikikai Group.

After a little siesta (well not much sleep had been had with the action packed agenda) Jackie and Rose took a steady stroll to the Acropolis and went for a bite to eat. They both commented on how quiet it was without the group but how easy it was to get a table just for 2.

Back to the hotel for a very quiet night's sleep.
