Hola !

We´re now in a small town called San Christrolbal high in the mountains in the Chiapas region of southern Mexico. We took an 11 hour bus ride to get here but it was totally worth it. It has a very tranquile atmosphere and it´s full of hippies and other travellers.

There is a village just outside the town call Santa Juan Chamula which we visited today by horseback. It was a great thing to do however my horse (Jake) was completely mental and either kicked or bit any of the other horses if they tried to overtake. Like I said the trek was great and but I really felt like I had survived rather than enjoyed myself! Plus my arse and ballbag are definitely not in a good way after the galloping!!

Agneta was lucky and had a more subdued horse which she had complete control over, much to my annoyance whilst I galloped off out of control.

Tomorrow we head for Palenque to rummage around some Mayan ruins and swim in some waterfalls
