Hi from San Fran :)

It's been an interesting few days! Arrived in San Fan yesterday.

It's hard to imagine that just a couple of days ago I was in Death Valley. This has to be the hottest place i've ever been to. I mean, I like hot weather but this was ridiculous. It was just over 50 degrees celcius when we were there. It was all you could do to spend 5 minutes out of the car taking a couple of photos then you had to get back into the car again. BLEEEHHHHHH it was soooo hot! I was shocked to find out people actually live there! I hope they migrate out during summer. But like most things i've seen here in the USA it was HUGE and extreme so pretty cool to say I survived it :)

Spent the next day in Yosemite National Park which I really really enjoyed. Totally different scenario to Death Valley. Totally different. Still hot but beautiful. We hiked and picnicked in the national park. My favourite part of the day would have had to have been hiking up to a waterfall and climbing the rocks to get closer. Spent the night in something called a 'yurt' which is one of those round tepee type things and is way close enough to nature for me. I had NO phone reception which was so frustrating so I was stupidly excited when I finally got signal back the next day!

Yesterday we arrived in San Fran and our tourguide took the time to drive us around a bit which was nice as it wasn't part of the tour. I've ended up staying with Sarah at the airport for a night and i'm moving to a hotel on Union Square tonight. Last night Sarah and I went out and found a cool rooftop bar in Mission (which literally got too cool, we were freezing, had to leave!) then spent the rest of the night salsa dancing in a place called the Make Out Room which is also in Mission.

Today I think we've got a few things on the agenda and i'm looking forward to it as I already like it here. Sarah leaves Monday night and Tuesday I have a tour of alcataz lined up. Leaving Wednesday morning for San Diego.
