Well, it has come to the end of the holidays. After a dodgy start, we have finished on a high. The beach yesterday was lovely and we swam next to flying fish that lept out of the water around us. In the evening we found a very cheap restaurant in the back streets of Nafplion with some lovely food and a home made white wine. We had to get up early to drive two hours to the airport back in Athens but we found it no problem. It was a good job we got there early...

Well its coming to the end of our hols so we have decided to take it a bit easyer today. We were going to the middle of the Pelopanese but weve decided to go to the Mycenean city of Tiryns and then to the beach. A good way to end our holiday. We will be leaving at nine in the morning and will not get back until late. As for photos I havent been able to upload any here without paying so I will put on a lot when I get back to Spain for your enjoyment.

Well, the town of Nafplion is gorgeous. The hotel is the nicest we have been in and weve been upgraded to a deluxe double room so can't complain. The town is very pretty and quite Venetian as they had it for many years. Lovely backstreets with shops and restaurants and a view that is incredible over the sea and the fortress. Ive been to the worry beads museum, the one that Francesco visited, and bougght a couple of worry beads. Im learning how to play with...

This will be uploaded after the fact because I cant get an Internet connection here and will have to wait. Its nine in the morning and I am sitting on my balcony of the Castri Hotel, which although basic at €55 a night has probably one of the most amazing views Ive seen. Today has been an easier day because weve just done museums. In the morning to the National Museum of Athens. It was incedible. We saw the gold mask of Agamenon (which isnt his by the way), the statue of Zeus from Sounion, and a lot of other artefacts from archaic to classical period.
