Well, the town of Nafplion is gorgeous. The hotel is the nicest we have been in and weve been upgraded to a deluxe double room so can't complain.
The town is very pretty and quite Venetian as they had it for many years. Lovely backstreets with shops and restaurants and a view that is incredible over the sea and the fortress.
Ive been to the worry beads museum, the one that Francesco visited, and bougght a couple of worry beads. Im learning how to play with them and theybare never out of my hand.
We drove today to the ancient Greek city of Mycenae. The Mycenians ruled the area about 3500 years ago with a very extravegant. You may have heard of King Agamemnon who went to fight the Trojan War.
After that we went to the ancient theatre at Epidaurus. It is the biggest and most well preserved theatre in Greece. It is impressive but to be honest we are getting a bit tired of so many ruins and sculptures. We seem to have see everything in a very short time.
The OTHER thing we are fed up of is bloody tatziki and taramasalata! They are lovely but please...EVERY MEAL?
So...tonight we are going to have some pasta because of the Italian influence in the town and perhaps some seafood as its supposed to be very fresh. YUM.
Tomorrow is our last full day so perhaps going to the middle of the Pelopanese. To Arcadia.
