If you ever travel to Bangkok here are a few tips. Only use the pink taxis that have a meter and stipulate how much you are willing to pay before you get in otherwise you will fing yourself being taken around every suit and jewelry shop in bangkok before you reach you destination. Don't stop and talk to the many locals trying to sell you trinkets or you will end up paying for a massage you didn't ask for(wesley!) or have so many bangles up your arm you can't possibly get away unless you but them all.
It's a great place and the temples and floating market are must see's.The grand Palace is beautuful even in the rain you can't help but feel relaxed. The giant reclining Buddah is definately impressive but we had to que to get a photo! We are visiting the amulet market today(18th) and the temple it resides next to.The Thai peaople, appart from taking every oppertunity to scam you out of your hard earned cash, are extreemly religious and patriotic, they each carry an amulet for good luck that has a picture of Buddah on it and on mondays they all wear yellow T-shirts as a mark or respect to their King. They don't much like their president though as he fiddles the tax and keeps it for himself, he now lives in England and recently bought Manchester city!
Thats all for now wish you were here Emma and Wesley x x x
