evening all!

just a quick one tonight as it's been a bit of a travel heavy day and not too much to report... We left Bangkok this morning and flew internaly to Phuket, the flight was great, it cost 50 squid each and we got a small snack and drink along the way... bargain!!! - the flight only took an hour so we reached altitude and the started to head down ready for landing!

we got outta the airport to catch a local bus into Phuket town - this was the cheapest way, and perhaps the way 'real travellers' should do it! We got of the bus at the bus depot and we were litterally ponced on by about three guys all trying to push things on us! - to be honest it was scary! we didn't know where to go to reach the hostel we had pre-booked!

Someone really must have been looking down on us though - as this guy appeared from no-where... i asked if he spoke English and he said 'yeah i speak english and thai' - he gace us directions and told one guy who was hounding us to lay off!... he'll never know how grateful we where!

after a manic trec through some streets with a few dodgy wrong turns thrown in, we finally found the hostel!.. it is really nice... almost worth the hassle! - we have our own room which is a good size and a nice bathroom too!... the only draw back is the lack of auircon, but hey who's moaning! - we decided to book a few extra nights and try and relax and enjoy things a bit!...

there are little gecko's running round all over the place so they are keeping us amused!

we've booked a trip for the morning - we go out elephant trecking, canoeing, watch a thai boxing fight and watch a monkey and elephant show.... swo that should be interesting!...
