Hey everyone,

We've just about to finish our Bangkok travels, so thought we'd update you....

Today we woke up with a list of plans for the day, we started by catching the sky train to the port in the hope of catching a river barge up to the Grand Palace. As we got off the train we were collered by a very well english spoken helpfull thai man. He seemed genuine and offered us a route to see some other attractions...conveniently a tuktuk wizzed past which he flagged and informed the driver of the route. Something felt wrong so at the first stop, it took a while but we managed to persuade him that we didn't want to take the journey any further, we had to pay the full fee (40baht =60p) to get rid of him...

We were propositioned in the same fashion numerous times for the whole day.. unfortunately in the end it wore us down so we re-treated to the hostel for some much needed relaxation and sleep! -Although its been interesting and a real eye opener we are ready to call it a day and move to the white sands of phuket.

So we have booked a flight tomorrow morning - 2 hour flight and we have a nice brand new hostel booked for the other end...

We are about to go and get some tea and perhaps a beer as we havn't as we havn't touched a drop yet.
