This is the city of Bathurst from Mt Panorama, overlooking the race circuit. Had to replace two tyres on caravan. Had one blow out down south, we were heading to Bathurst, were going to have the tyre replaced. Second tyre blew about 7km out of Bathurst, about 4:00pm. Rang RACQ, they contacted NRMA to pick up the van. Waited on side of road until about 7:00pm. A couple of people stopped to help but unable to change tyre as spare was no good, had to wait for the NRMA. RACQ wanted the van taken to a CP for the night and then picked up the next morning to be taken to a tyre dealer. Operator could not get the gist of not being able to manouvre the van with two flat tyres. The tow truck operator spoke to the RACQ operator, stated that the van would be left on the truck overnight in a secure area, then taken to the tyre dealer the next day. RACQ then arranged overnight accomodation, for us, in a motel at Bathurst. Not the motel I would have chosen but ok for overnight. The motel owner was waiting out the front for a tow truck to arrive with the van, surprised when we did not have the caravan just our vehicle.
