OK so, another thing we done in Ho Chi Minh - was that we visited the vietnamese disabled workers factory/place/thingy!! sorry thats not very accurate! But anyway - it was so good - this was where local people with varying kinds of disabilities came together to produce the most amazing art work. From any kind of furniture to pictures - to trays - crokery cultery - you name it the yamde it!! if only i didn't live so far away!! I would have my house full of this stuff. Firsty of all we walked through the factory where we watched them at work and we could see the sifferent stages of the finished pieces - the work was so intricate (spelt wrong) and eveything was to a T!! most of the materails atarted from kinda off a slate thing and materials such as egg shells in a million little pieces, mother of peal - shells form the sea and ivory were added for the texture - they were painted - varnished - scrubbed - primed - everyhting in every order went on and the finished product so amazing. Vicky and I the suckers that we are both proceeded to TRY and decide what pieces we would like to buy and after much dilema - we got sorted. But i can't much more cos Vicky's is a present and i might ruin the surprise - but I bought some little trays! sorry mum but they're for me!! :)
