Next pit stop was Singapore - we flew into here form samui - all pretty straight forward. Went straight through the airport and even maaged to get the local bus into the city - first problem we dame across was that the hostel we wanted to stay in was full - each one we tried for the next couple of hours were full too!! MAN....................we ended up sitting on the net ringing hostels - and eventually someone took pity - it was a perfect choice too located in the center of 'Little India' the main budget area adn drinking area. Needless to say we done very little on our first night - and the next day we started out sightseeing.

Singapore had to be the most beautiful city i have been too yet - it is so clean, no rubbish about - grass is perfect - no horrible men on each corner we turned!! But the down side - it was very expensive for our wee budget!!

First up we went up in a DHL hot air balloon which wasn't actually hot air - but more electronic - it went up 30 stories and overlooked the whoel city - views were amazing and it was somethign really different - what made it even better gwe got reduced tickets from seom people who had bought extra tickets!! POP POP The rest of the day was a day was jam packed. Booked ourseleves onto a tour of the city and it was so much fun - first off we went ot the 'Luge' this was like a go-cart track but you had only handle bars to manuveour your way doen the track - all down hill - obviously the helmet didn't fit my massive head and vic done the opposite and drowned her!! The rain started yet AGAIN just before we went down - so we got soaked then got a cable car back up the hill thingy. From there we headed to the Dolphin lagoon for a show - this was my highlight of Singalpore!! :) Some and vic sit down very near the front - on the sand so we get a better view - right on the edge of the lagoon -and the show starts. There are three main Dolphins - of varied ages and they are pink!! the older they are, the more pink they become - basically each dolphin had a trainer and they all done tricks - jumps - funky swims - ball games hoop jumps - lots and then volenteers were needed form the crowd - we of course my hand was first up!! and ai was singing the corus - ME ME ME ME ME ME ME - you know how it goes - anyway - they didn't pick me :( i was so gutted - cos it was to go in (knee high) and stroke the dolphins. I got over that - all good. The show went on, then they asked for three mor e 'friends' this time the friends had to be prepared to go to the neck in the lagoon! O DEAR..........I darted my hand up and sang the same corus - but the lady obviousy didn't like me - and overlooked my excitment to pick three other randoms!! :( One of the guys were OBVIOUSLY not listening to ALL the details and refused to get into the water!! HAHA so my hand was the only offer at this stage in the crowd and low and behold she picked me!! I was up like a shot and straight in the water - O lORD - i was wearing my brown three quater lengths and a white t-shirt - so all the guiys thought this was great!!! Sure enough i had to kneel down to my neck in the water - i was instructed to stay still looking forward - and all of a sudden the dolphin came up and KISSED me on the cheek with his nose!!! It was so lvoely - i was actually shaking!! :) i couldn't stop smiling!! I then give the dolphin a 'high five'!! Photos for this are great too!! The otehr bad part was a i had to spend the est of the day walking around in wet clothes - i wore vicky's mac in a sac coat and her jumper after taking off my bra and t-shirt - not the most comfortable!! :) but well worth every moment!!

From here we went to the 4D cinmax which kinda speaks for itself - we ere bascically in the film!! WICKED!! and form there - underwater world - vic got to tick off one of her 'to do' list and got to hold TWO MASSIVE SNAKES around her neck.

That eve - we couldn't miss out on going to the Famous RAffles Hotel - a very fancy hotel - where the cocktail 'Singapore Sling' was created - off we headed with a guy from our hostel - i made a real effort - after a mission to find the hotel entrance we got in only to be asked by the concerigage what was our business! :) He knew off course and directed us towards the side of the building!! It was a bar called 'Long Bar' obviously one too mnay back packers had landed on teh door step in times gone by and they had now opened a bar for those looking to try a cocktail!!! I was sooooooooooo not impressed - but it had to do and for a 22 dollar cocktail it was really worth it! "( peanuts were on the tables and instead of the shells going into the bin they got brushed on the floor - not a good look!! Seemingly it ensure thatthe floor gets cleaned correctly - i'm sure there are easier ways to ensure this!!! After our dinkg we went more down market and went for local beer! :)
