We purchased our 1999 Fleetwood Jamboree in February. Originally, we just planned to rent an RV to go visit Saadia, in Boise, over spring break. We looked into it, but with rental fees, mileage, gas, etc. It would have been triple the cost of flying.

I've wanted an RV for years. Occasionally, I would forward an ad with RVs for sale to Rob. He would listen to my pitch for a few minutes, give me side eye and shut it all down. But one day after we saw how expensive it was to rent an RV, we were just 'curious'. So, we started checking out local RV for sale ads. We saw one that caught our eye and I called my brother Evan, the RV expert. I gave him the specs and he gave us a list of questions and things to look out for. He said that if everything checked out, it was a really fair price.

After seeing it, we debated it for a while. Rob did his calculations and told me that we would need to use the RV twice a month for the next 2 years to justify the purchase. I said "ok!" and just like that, we became RV owners.
