We are currently on the island of Molat,
Molat ) is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea. It is situated near Zadar, southeast from Ist, separated by Zapuntel strait. It has area of 22.82 km2 (8.81 sq mi).
The settlements on the island are Molat (population 107), Zapuntel (pop. 42) and Brgulje (pop. 48), and they are situated in the interior of the island, and only smaller hamlets are on the seaside. Main industries on the island are agriculture, sheep breeding, fishing and tourism.
We set off from the marina this morning at around 9.30. We were a bit late as Brian had to give us our inductions, like how to find and use the life jackets, use the flares and keep the beer fridge cold.
We also sat down at worked out a plan using Navionics and made sure the iPad was charged up.
The girls took up their positions, which they now permanently own, and I was on the front looking after to the rope in the front of the boat. (bow line I think). All was good, we made it out of the harbor with out any problem at all.
The conditions for sailing were perfect. Looking back across the bay to Zadar was quite a sight, the mountain range that runs down the coastline is stunning. Whilst I love Australia, this country has its own special beauty.
It has been plain sailing all day, Brian was really enjoying it. The last time I saw a grin that big was at the entrance to Luna Park.
