we arrived in phuket after a 3 hour minibus ride. This involved clining on 4 dear life as the driver went at about 100 miles per hour. We got talking to the people on the bus a very nice americn guy from israli two german girls and a very mad Italian guy. We arrived in phuket town about 10pm and shared a taxi with the italian 2 the youth hostel which was about 5 miles away. The next day we spent in phuket town walking about and had a nice slice of chocolate cake. Th next day we decided to move on to patong beach. This is like a warmer version of blackpool or anywhere equally as tackey. We went on a local truck that has benches in the back. This was an interesting experience as the diver cramed about 50 people in there. We found nice and cheap hotel 5 mins from the beach where we r the only guests though it does hav the cutset dog in the world (which sarah will not leave alone). We spent the evening walking along the beach and ended up having a pizza and then spent the night in an iish bar called molly malones. we then met a group of americans from LA and orange county who are all firefighters and nurses. hung out with mike 4 the past 3 days having a great time him and his friends r so nice going to california next year 2 see them all. He paid 4 us 2 hv this amazing massage which was so relaxing. We spent yearsterday afternoon hanging out with his friands we went on a tour of the island and they taught us to body surf which in practice meant nearly drowing and swallowing a lot of sea water. Going to see the thia boxing tonight and going clubbing. Hav drank a lot so far and went swimming at 2am and scraped all my legs which is quite painful.
