Wow, I slept in until 10:30 this morning, and then by the time we got ready and left the house, it was about 1pm again. We went into town and had a bit of a look around the big shopping mall. I did a bit of shopping at H&M and bought a couple of tops. We were also both in need of a new wallet so we went wallet shopping, however only I found one which suited. So I got myself a nice new black leather wallet with plenty of card slots, etc. They're all pretty tight though at the moment, so I hope they loosen up a bit.
At 2:30pm we had to go and let some people in to Tove's mum's apartment because they were renting the place for the night. However, once we arrived at the apartment, Tove realised that she had the wrong set of keys and didn't have the key to let the people in. So we had to rush to the tram stop and back to Tove's apartment, and then Tove ran up to grab the keys and got back to the tram stop just at the right second to catch the tram coming past at that time, and quickly rush back to her mums apartment again to let the people in. Luckily she doesn't live too far from her mum.
Once she had let the visitors in, we wandered into town again and had a late lunch. I ordered a pizza and before the pizza came out, a weird salad came out which was basically vinegar tasting cabbage. I had a little bit, but I wasn't too keen on it. Tove said this was called a pizza salad and they always give it to you when you order pizza - even takeaway pizza. The pizza was good though.
We decided that because the weather was so lovely today, we'd switch around the order that we were going to do things, and we decided to go to Slottsskogen Park (instead of the Universium, which is all indoors) because the weather isn't looking good for tomorrow. So from the restaurant, we walked to Slottsskogen Park (which means 'castle forest') which was a massive and busy public park where people come and have BBQs, picnics, and just hang out in the sun, etc. But there's also a little 'zoo' there too and that's where we went. There's a big pond just in the middle of nowhere with half a dozen seals, and then farm animals like goats and sheep, including a children's petting zoo, and then also moose, which was the reason that we went there. Moose are native to Sweden, and I had never seen one before in real life. I was amazed at how massive they were! There was a mother moose and her calf, which was less than half the size of its mother, but the mother was huge. They were both lying down when we arrived, but they had huge bodies and heads, and super long noses. Then the mother stood up and had about 2 metre long legs too. It was cool to see another foreign animal that I'd never seen, even in a zoo.
It was a beautiful hot sunny day, so by the time we left here it was about 7pm. We didn't realise how late it had got. We caught the tram back to Tove's and again, didn't bother having any tea because we were still full from our late lunch. I decided to try and repack my bag and try to make it all neat ready for my flight home tomorrow. I don't fly out of Gothenburg tomorrow until 4:30pm, so I still have half a day here tomorrow morning. We're going to go to the Universium which is kind of like Te Papa/the Science Centre. It has an aquarium and a rainforest too which I'm looking forward to.
