arrived at 7.00 on the thursday and basically sight saw all day, getting our bearings and generally wandering about.

hostel was quite nice and clean but quite noisy at night!

we stayed there for about 2 days and moved on to meet our group leader, Chanchan. after meetining woth her we went in search of food which the variety of noodles or rice. spoilt for choice really arnt we!

third day we went to the forbidden city and tiannamen square both of which were fonomonal in size! josh told me tiannamen sqare can hold half of sheffields population (half million)!

we also went to some ming dynasty gardens around the back which some old geezer hung himself when the armies were attacking! lovely story!

day 4 woke up late again where we made our way to the summers palace and temple of heaven.

temple of heaven was nice it was full of old people playing with hacki sacks and waving streams of ribbons around. quite perculiar.

the most amazing thing happened in temple of heaven. i bought an amazing rolex for 6 quid! it hangs like a wizards sleeve but it looks quality!

after an hour we got bored and got a taxi to summer gardens which was abit ironic as it was bloody freezing! after a long walk round we decided we've spent too much and headed home.

infact i think ive still got frostbite on my fingers!

im going now to let josh have his half of our 6 yuan per hour internet!
