In Bangkok we stayed in a Guest house in Thewet, in the west side of Bangkok. There's a big university near our guest house, so every day we saw many students. Everybody have a uniform, for girls a white t-shirt and a black mini skirt. But what was little strange for us was how many boys were dressing up like girls, with makeup and everything. It's good that they dare to be what they want to be, and I think it's accepted by the others. In Europe that would never work.
We stayed in Bangkok 5 days. We visited temples, they are everywhere! The most well known are The temple of the Emerald Buddha, The Wat Pho(sleeping Buddha)…
They were so amazing and huge! We did go also to the shopping center area. And I really went crazy to see all the beautiful clothes that I just cannot buy!! When I went shopping David went to see films in the cinema. It's better that way because if he would shop with me, he would be just annoyed and bored.
We wanted to rent bikes to discover the city, they were free of charge. So we went to the place where they rent them but there were no one. We asked in tourist info point nearby and they said that it was lunch break that they will come back soon. But we waited like an hour and nobody came, so we went for a little walk. And when we came back there was a note that said that they are on a break and will be back in 15 minutes! Wel,l we waited like 1 hour and then we left. So no bikes for us!
We wanted to go to see a Thai box match, but it was such a tourist rip off place that we didn't go. Normally for Thai people the tickets were 300 - 500 baths, and for tourists it was 1000 to 2500 baths! So no way Jose!
I really liked Bangkok, the people are nice and for a capital it's not over populated. Not like in India! In some places we saw more tourists than Thai people. Our next place to visit is Ayutthaya.
