Day 32 – 23/08/11
Everyone around us was up early this morning, so we joined them! The group camped around us – hadn’t realised when setting up that they were all together – just spread out! ……….. Heading into Flinders Ranges then up to Oonadadda Track etc they were a day behind already due to illness so were keen to get moving. Today’s trip took us into Adelaide and with a Oversized Semi overtaking us and nearly hitting oncoming traffic we knew we were approaching the city!! Had a morning tea stop at Red Hill BP Service Station and set the Hema to Route66 program and it navigated us to the Marion Holiday Park, South East of Adelaide City near to Happy Valley ……….. home of our friends Ben & Robyn. This Caravan Park was amazing – Heated Pool which Billy & Toby were keen to check out ASAP, and a Jumping Pillow, so we spent the afternoon here!! Gave Ben a call and he dropped by for a quick chat on his way home from work. After dinner, which was cooked in another impressive Camp Kitchen with a TV as well this time, so we caught up on the news………………. Then we headed to Ben & Robyn’s for Tea/Coffee and catch up! Which was great, last time we saw them Robyn was about 5months pregnant and Billy was only about 6 months old, now they have Gemma (2) & William (4 months) Billy took awhile to warm to playing with Gemma and her toys but they were soon enjoying crash derbies around the kitchen/living area!
