Backpack Party!!
Right. Hello again everybody! I will get the pleasentries over with as quickly as possible as I have little time, and I do not want a repeat of last time I attempted to add an entry, and this stupid computer froze on me and lost it all, so...I hope that you are all ok, as always!!Let me know what you are all up to...the message board has been rather well...dead!lol.
Anyway, yesterday, I went to a theatre called the Colon, which I was relatively amused by for a short while, because, I am, evidently rather immature!!lol.
I went for a tour, which was actually rather interesting, all about the history of the materials in the construction, and about all the workshops that build all the props, costumes, wigs, bla,bla,bla....
But, as I was a sad loner "that does tours" (since Mum and Paul left and went to Peru the other day!) I was latched onto by some really random and strange guy, called Omar.
He was a ballroom dancer, and had come to Buenos Aires to learn Tango,he was from LA and was about 40 years old. So, when he asked me on a date to go and Tango dance with him, I was absolutely overjoyed and accepted instantly, as you would imagine.
NOT. If you even thought that I was being serious then, then....uuuurrrrhhh!!!!lol.
He was just too wierd, he would not leave me alone!!! And I even had to suffer the walk back to Ave.de Mayo with him because he is staying on this road too!!!
Anyway, I was rather pleased with myself, as I managed to successfully navigate my way around Buenos Aires solo for a day and night, which if Im honest, aint all that hard to do, considerring that all the roads run parrallel. But for me...its a small leap for mankind, and a huge leap for Victoria Laycock!!!!lol.
The only bit I didnt enjoy about the day was when I had to go and get a bite to eat in the evening, as I hadnt eaten all day, and I had to sit there being a loner!!! I orderred a salad, which was a BIG mistake, as because, as if lettuce eating wasnt embarrassing enough already, in the company of friends, I was sat there like a loner with this guy staring at me with all this lettuce dangling around the corners of my pie hole. I dont quite know if he was staring at me in an "she's nice" kinda way, or a "what the %&/( is that doing!???" kind of way.(Probably the latter, sadly if the standard of my lettuce ettiquette is to go by...)
Anyways...I got over that and thought, "f/(% it, Im starving!" and just went for it, Mayo being splatted on cheek and all!!!hehehe.
So, today, I have mostly been shopping, which is never a good thing for the budget...but always a good thing for me!! Actually, I havent spent that much! All I bought was a pair of Converse, because they are soooooo cheap here! (Mine worked out at about 14 quid!!) and a t shirt with the Labrynth Movie Poster on it. (Yes, I am still having a chufty attack, even now, hours after the purchase, and all the people in this Hostel are probably wandering why I am sat here, beaming from ear to ear being generally extatic, when I am only sat at the darn computer!!) I dont care though...most of them are frieks of some variety, so, whatever!!lol.
Ey..Im of out now to grab something to eat to get energy that will hopefully aid me in my quest to pack.(Not that I see any connection between eating and getting stuff that aint ever gonna fit in the backpack in a million years into the backpack...but, hey, it'll make me feel a little better!!)lol.
Yeah, I should probably explain that I am going to Peru tommorrow, which I am looking forward to..apart from the whole GuineaPig consumption thing.(Hard on even the avid meat eaters pallet, I assume, never mind the avid vegatarian!!!)lol.
So, I will probably speak to you all again when I have settled there!!
Loads and loads of love!!
Take care everyone and Ill speak to you soon!!!
